Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BCIHMCT) is set to host the Silver Jubilee edition of the Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble (CHE 2026) from November 3 to 5, 2026, marking 25 years of promoting excellence, creativity and innovation in hospitality education.
Recognised as one of the country's leading student-driven hospitality festivals, CHE 2026 will provide a national platform for aspiring hospitality professionals to showcase their talent across culinary arts, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operations and a range of creative disciplines.
The landmark edition will be organised around the theme "Parampara se Pragati", reflecting the institution's commitment to preserving traditional hospitality values while encouraging innovation and future-ready skills. More than 15 specialised competitions and knowledge-based events are scheduled during the three-day festival, bringing together students, faculty members, hospitality professionals and industry leaders from across the country.
A major focus of this year's Ensemble will be culinary innovation and the development of future chefs. Participants will be encouraged to explore emerging culinary techniques, sustainable cooking practices and healthier food concepts while drawing inspiration from India's rich culinary heritage. Among the featured competitions will be a challenge centred on developing innovative and nutritious recipes using Turkish Hazelnuts, aimed at fostering creativity, nutritional awareness and contemporary culinary thinking.
Reflecting the evolving nature of the hospitality industry, CHE 2026 will also feature competitions in creative and digital domains such as Reel Making, Menu Designing and Mood Board Creation. These events have been designed to highlight the growing significance of visual storytelling, branding, concept development and guest-centric design in modern hospitality.
The festival will also showcase KHOZ, an entrepreneurial platform that encourages students to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions and cultivate entrepreneurial thinking. The initiative aligns with the industry's increasing emphasis on innovation, business development and hospitality entrepreneurship.
The Silver Jubilee edition is expected to receive strong support from leading hospitality and food service organisations. Industry partners including Taj Hotels, Crowne Plaza, MDH, Zone, Karamat and Nestlé will contribute through industry-led challenges, mentoring sessions and interactive engagements, providing students with valuable exposure to current industry practices and expectations.
As the Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble completes 25 years, the event continues to reinforce its role as a significant platform for identifying and nurturing hospitality talent. By combining competition, creativity, innovation and industry interaction, CHE 2026 aims to equip the next generation of hospitality professionals with the skills required to excel in an increasingly dynamic global hospitality landscape.
The Silver Jubilee celebration is expected to attract participation from hospitality institutions across India and further strengthen BCIHMCT's longstanding commitment to academic excellence, professional development and culinary innovation.
